Welding Equipment
Our facility uses modern welding technology designed to meet today’s advanced automotive standards.
Steel Welding
We utilize:
- Lincoln Welders – for large, mild-steel applications
- Pro Spot Welders – pulse-technology welders capable of steel welding, MIG-brazing, and aluminum welding
Steel Types We Work With
- Mild Steel – low carbon steel used for body panels, floor pans, brackets, battery trays
- HSS – High-Strength Steel
- AHSS – Advanced High-Strength Steel
- UHSS – Ultra-High Strength Steel
- PHS / Boron / Hot-Formed Steel – used in structural areas for maximum safety
These materials allow manufacturers to reduce vehicle weight while improving collision energy management—helping protect the passenger compartment.
Aluminum Welding & Riveting
The Pro Spot system also handles aluminum welding.
We also have the Pro Spot PR-5D Riveting and Bonding System, an OEM-approved cold-joining process required for heat-sensitive materials such as aluminum.
For example, this system is approved for repairs on aluminum-bodied Ford trucks.
Plastic Welding
We use the Urethane Supply Co. Nitrogen Plastic Welder to repair torn or cracked plastic components such as bumper fascias, radiator supports, and other slightly torn or broken parts that do not require full replacement.
Using heated nitrogen gas, the welder melts the plastic and fuses it with a filler rod made from the same material—restoring strength and integrity to the repaired part. This process is ideal for repairing components like bumper fascias, radiator supports, and various plastic brackets.
